Sharing the Learning at St Lawrence

St Lawrence College Junior School pupils have been 'Sharing the Learning', with parents joining their Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children in the classroom for a Friday afternoon of kite making and flying.

On Friday 10 March, the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes at St Lawrence College Junior School held a ‘Sharing the Learning’ afternoon.

Parents and children had the opportunity to work together to build and fly a kite. Families worked collaboratively, sharing resources and applying their individual skills to make the finished product.

Once the colourful kites had been built, everyone gathered on the back field. It was marvellous to witness the kites soaring in the sky and to listen to the parents’ and children’s laughter. The weather was perfect for kite flying and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

St Lawrence College Junior School is an IAPS for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years, located in Ramsgate, Kent.

"Children are happiest when their school work excites them, when they are recognised for their achievements and supported if needed, when they feel safe, and when they have time to play. At St Lawrence College Junior School we take great care to support each child, nurturing them to reach their potential in all aspects of school life."  Mrs Ellen Rowe, Head
