Three Monmouth pupils had a day to remember when they took on the headship at their respective schools.
The temporarily promoted pupils each held their own assemblies, led meetings, taught classes at their respective schools, carried out tours, and greeted parents at the gates.
Eleven-year-old Alfie Rayner took the reins at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep, while 12-year-old Isabella Smith was in charge at Monmouth School Girls’ Prep, and six-year-old Toby Gavin carried out the role at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery.
The three mini heads united for a mid-morning meeting to discuss how the three Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools could work together more often.
The Heads-for-a-Day initiative took place on Wednesday 19th June and proved a wonderful educational experience for the children.
