Following an extensive external assessment, St Margaret’s has been awarded the prestigious NaaceMark – one of the first schools nationwide.

The award recognises the school’s success in developing the strategic use of technology in both administration and across the curriculum. Parents will have proof that their children are attending a school at the forefront of modern technology.

Headmistress, Karen Cordon, commented ‘On behalf of St Margaret’s Preparatory School, I am delighted to be awarded the NaaceMark. It recognises our positive approach to the use of technology and the benefits it is bringing to our children. We believe that technology can be used in every aspect of learning and that it is essential our children are equipped for the modern world.’

Head of Computing, Mike Callahan, who was instrumental in ensuring the school was ready for NaaceMark assessment, commented:

‘I am really pleased that the presentation of this award shows recognition of the excellent work that is taking place at St Margaret’s. Applying for the NaaceMark really brought into focus the work with educational technology that we are doing each and every day. All the children and staff deserve credit for this achievement.’

Steve Moss, Chair of the Board of Naace, said ‘St Margaret’s thoroughly deserves the accolade of a NaaceMark accreditation. They clearly demonstrate how important it is to take a whole school approach to using technology in schools. We look forward to working with St Margaret’s to demonstrate how technology can have a substantial impact on learner outcomes in the future.’

About St Margaret's Preparatory School

St Margaret's Prep is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 3-11 which was established in 1873.  We moved to our current premises in 1940 and have gradually grown to what we are today – a happy and vibrant school of 200 pupils with broadly equal numbers of boys and girls. We provide a happy and purposeful environment for all children to explore within a friendly, caring community.  Our main aim is for our pupils to be inspired, not be afraid to take risks and above all, have fun and enjoy learning.
