Terence Ayres

In Terence, we have found an inspiring leader who brings enthusiasm, energy, vision and a commitment to a holistic approach to teaching and learning. Mr Ayres will uphold and develop Leehurst Swan’s ethos and reputation for excellence, ensuring that all pupils and staff achieve their full potential.

With a background in English, Religious Studies and Sport, he is passionate about ensuring that every child will ‘find their voice’ at Leehurst Swan.

On his appointment, Terence said: 'I am very excited about leading Leehurst Swan into the next decade and added that he was ‘attracted by the school's warmth and commitment to each individual it educates.’ He is a visible and child-centred Headmaster so Leehurst Swan's ethos is very much in-line with his own. Terence said that he is ‘looking forward to building on the strong foundations laid by Stuart Morgan-Nash and interim headmaster Philip Oldroyd and driving the school forward so that it fulfils its great potential.'
