West Buckland Prep 4 pupils took a trip to Tesco Extra in Barnstaple where they underwent the tricky Maths challenge of having to plan a meal for four people with only £10.00 to spend.

In what would have once been classified as 'home economics', this was also an opportunity for pupils to apply their Maths skills in a very practical and tangible way, as well as being a good way for them to learn a little more about the value of money.

Pupils were able to have a look behind the scenes in the Barnstaple store and were able to test their palates in a very enjoyable cheese-tasting session.
